Terra Nova Foods is a division of Distribution Group Inc. owners and operators of several food service, restaurant supply and sanitation firms throughout Atlantic Canada.  Terra Nova Foods is a wholesale distributor of high quality fresh and frozen protein, supplying the grocery and food service sectors in Newfoundland & Labrador. 

The company's rich history dates back over 50 years to when it was owned by Swift & Company.  The company evolved to become Maple Leaf Foods and was one of only two manufacturing facilities Maple Leaf had remaining in Canada.  The current owners, DGI, acquired the assets of the company in 1999 and have quadrupled the product offerings to become a significant player in the food service industry in Newfoundland & Labrador. 

The company operates out of a 20,000 square foot state of the art facility with 175,000 cubic feet of cooler and freezer capacity.  Our 'Peace of Mind' inventory has become invaluable to the food service and grocery industry as we can ensure our clients never run short!

 Quality is an integral part of the company's mantra with a full time Quality Assurance Technician on site in addition to a Quality Assurance Manager and all raw materials originating from Federally inspected plants.
